I'll be honest

I embarked on my moderation journey shortly after learning I was a “gray area drinker” (#ThanksCovid). I would often drink more than I intended; I’d question if I was drinking too much and whether I should cut back; I was fully functioning yet experienced negative (just not life-altering) consequences from my drinking. 

 

I really struggled to find something that felt aligned with my life as I didn’t want or feel the need to be all out sober. Yet, I was being told my only option was to say bye to the booze completely.  After trying nearly every crash diet I knew this black-or-white approach didn’t work for me. 🙅‍♀️

 

👉 So I created something that did work! And after experiencing life-changing results for myself and several beta groups, I knew this had to be shared. Now, I’ve helped hundreds decrease their drinking and find a better relationship with alcohol and themselves.🎉🙏

And we’re just getting started!

GETTING TO THIS POINT WASN'T EASY.

I used to believe:

 

❌  I couldn’t have fun (or be fun) without alcohol. 

❌  Life would suck. How could I enjoy social settings or decompress after a stressful day?

❌ And most of all - it is not possible to raise kids without alcohol, right?? #mommywine 😭

So I

   Kept drinking…

   and continued to drink more than I intended

   and kept telling myself “everyone drinks.” 

 

   Continued to question myself… judge myself … compare myself to others… 

   and loathe waking up in the morning for fear of a possible hangover, 

   shame, regret, or guilt of seeing something I may not remember

   saying or buying the night before.

And that's when it hit me!

I love myself enough to make a change!

I didn’t need to wait to “hit rock bottom” or get a DUI or have my drinking start to impact my relationships. I was ready to do the work and that’s when I finally started to see the truth: 

I don’t need alcohol to get through the day (or just because I'm a mom)

I can have an amazing time socially with or without a drink in my hand (and yes, people still enjoy my presence, too!)​

I sleep better, feel more refreshed, and look better, too!
